Israel Flag Emoji Copy and Paste, With All 270 Flags

How this list was compiled: Built by script on 2026-09-19, not typed by hand. The emoji, their names, code points and Emoji version numbers come from emoji-test.txt, version 18.0 (https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/emoji/emoji-test.txt); names are the CLDR short names printed in that file, in sentence case. The group Flags of that file has 270 entries: 259 pairs of regional indicator letters, the three tag sequences England, Scotland and Wales, and 8 other flags. All 270 are here. Ten of the letter pairs date from Emoji 0.6, 247 from Emoji 2.0, United Nations from Emoji 4.0 and Sark from Emoji 16.0. Flag sequences were checked against emoji-sequences.txt, version 18.0 (https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/emoji/emoji-sequences.txt). The search words are from the CLDR English annotations (https://github.com/unicode-org/cldr/blob/main/common/annotations/en.xml and https://github.com/unicode-org/cldr/blob/main/common/annotationsDerived/en.xml, main branch). The region each flag is filed under (Western Asia, Caribbean and so on) and the five continents used as groups come from the territoryContainment table of CLDR's supplementalData.xml (https://github.com/unicode-org/cldr/blob/main/common/supplemental/supplementalData.xml, main branch), which says it is based on UN data. Antarctica and four islands that CLDR files under Outlying Oceania have a group of their own. The English names and short names of regions are from CLDR's en.xml (https://github.com/unicode-org/cldr/blob/main/common/main/en.xml, main branch); the script checks that every flag name in emoji-test.txt equals CLDR's name for that code. Inside a region the flags are sorted by name, not by code as Unicode prints them; UTS #51, Annex B, recommends exactly that. The same annex is the source for a flag sequence standing for a region and not a design, for territories that may be shown with their country's flag, for the two letters a system may show in place of a flag, and for EU and UN as the only groupings with a flag (https://www.unicode.org/reports/tr51/). Adjectives used as search words (French, German, Irish) were read from Wikipedia's list of adjectival and demonymic forms (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_adjectival_and_demonymic_forms_for_countries_and_nations); they find tiles and are printed nowhere, as are a few informal names of our own such as USA and Holland. The six exceptional reservations and the temporary code XK are as listed in Wikipedia's article on regional indicator symbols (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regional_indicator_symbol). That Unicode takes no new flag proposals, declines region flags without an ISO 3166 code and adds a flag automatically when a code is assigned is from its Guidelines for Submitting Unicode Emoji Proposals (https://unicode.org/emoji/proposals.html). No emoji name and no CLDR search word holds Chicago, Pan-African or Afro-American. The designs the 7 stand-ins follow are from Wikipedia: two light blue stripes and four red six-pointed stars on white (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Chicago), and three equal bands of red, black and green (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan-African_flag). The stand-ins are this site's own work. Flags are named exactly as emoji-test.txt names them. How any maker draws a flag is not recorded here.
