This halloween font generator draws your words in 5 crooked fonts, orange on night blue with stars, and saves a PNG or an SVG. It is the friendly end of spooky: party signs, treat bags, a classroom door.

Pick the costume
New look deals another of 14 designs. Henny Penny cannot keep its letters in line: each is its own size and leans its own way. Griffy is spindly, with a curl inside every o and e. Mystery Quest is thin and ends k, g and Q in spirals. Jolly Lodger is heavy and narrow; Henny Penny sets the same words 1.6 times as wide. Creepster is capitals only, and drips.
Make the sign
Open More options. Decoration starts on Stars, seven scattered round the words in the letter colour; Frame rules a double border round the board with a dot in each corner. There are no bats or pumpkins yet. For paper, set Background to White or Old paper.
Tips
- Two-colour fade runs from Letter colour down to Outline colour. No palette pairs orange with purple, so set both yourself.
- Only Henny Penny lacks ł, š and ž; none of the five has ğ. A plain sans-serif draws it instead.
Questions and answers
Were these fonts made for Halloween?
Mostly not. Google Fonts describes Henny Penny as named after the fairy-tale chicken and fit for children's books, Griffy as a beatnik with a touch of spooky, Mystery Quest as 1960s mod and Jolly Lodger as a mid-century motel. Crooked letters look haunted.
Can this work as a monster font generator?
Yes. Set Font to Creepster, which its description calls fright-filled: fat, wobbly capitals with drips under them. Slime green with Outline on Black reads as a creature feature. Flame with Sticker reads as a cereal box, which may be the better party.
Can I print a sign for a party or a classroom?
Yes. After your first change, Print sends the design on show to your printer. From Night blue or Black it prints a black outline to save ink, unless you untick Print as an outline (saves ink) in More options.
Can I copy and paste a Halloween font?
Only as a picture: Copy picture sends the sign to the clipboard. Letters pasted as text turn up in whatever font the other app uses. Haunted marks that survive a paste come from the zalgo text generator.
