How it works
This spray paint font generator opens on Rubik Spray Paint in slime green with an overspray halo. Six fonts cover the can: a fuzzy fill, drips, a tag hand, a chisel marker, a fat bubble and a cut stencil.

Where the spray comes from
Half is inside the font: Rubik Spray Paint has the fuzz drawn into its outlines, and its capital S takes 890 segments where Modak needs 17. A script generated it from plain Rubik, and made Rubik Wet Paint, which drips below the line. The other half is Soft glow, a blurred copy under the letters; Strength of the look spreads it, skinny cap to fat cap.
Six fonts, six jobs
Sedgwick Ave Display is a tall tag hand, about three quarters as wide as the Rubik pair, so long lines fit bigger. Permanent Marker is a slanted chisel tip. Modak is the bubble: give it Outline or Sticker. Saira Stencil One under Rough print reads as paint through cut card.
Tips
- The halo needs a dark board. On White or Old paper it vanishes, so use Plain there.
- Permanent Marker has capitals on every key: small letters come out as shorter capitals.
Questions and answers
Can I cut a real stencil from these?
From Saira Stencil One, yes: gaps break every letter and digit, so the middle of an O stays attached to the card. Set Look to Plain, Colours to Black and Background to White, then press Print.
How do I put the lettering on a brick wall?
Lay it over a wall photo: no background is brick. Under More options, set Background to Transparent and download the PNG. The tool counts Transparent as white and calls Slime green, Gold and White hard to see; over a dark photo they are fine.
Can I print it on a shirt and sell it?
Yes: the font licences allow selling what you make, and the credits under the tool link each one. Print from the PNG. The overspray halo is an SVG filter, which some programs do not draw, so the SVG can arrive with no spray.
When was canned spray paint invented?
In 1949, by Wikipedia's account: Edward Seymour of Sycamore, Illinois, put paint into an existing aerosol can to show off an aluminium coating for radiators.
