This shadow font generator has 10 fonts. Five have a shadow drawn into every letter, Bungee Shade and Londrina Shadow among them. From the five solid ones it casts a Drop shadow, a Long shadow or a 3D block.

Drawn in or cast
The drawn-in shadows disagree: Bungee Shade's solid block and Rubik Doodle Shadow's pen hatching fall to the lower left, while Londrina Shadow's thin line, Rampart One and Ewert fall to the lower right. Every cast shadow falls down and to the right, so keep these five on Plain.
How far it falls
A Drop shadow is a hard-edged copy of the words, grey under Black and dark red under Red. Strength of the look moves it 2%, 5% or 8% of the type size across and down, at the left, middle and right of the slider. A Long shadow sweeps the copy at 45 degrees to 15%, 37% or 60%. A 3D block stops at 3%, 8% or 13% and adds a thin outline.
Tips
- A drawn-in shadow font's face is a hole, not white paint: on Sky blue, Bungee Shade's letters show sky blue.
- Bungee Shade and Ewert have capitals only, and Bungee Shade sets a line twice as wide as Bebas Neue.
- Writing ł or ğ? Use Alfa Slab One, Abril Fatface, Titan One or Lobster; the five drawn-in fonts lack both.
Questions and answers
Can I change the angle of the shadow?
Not yet. Strength of the look changes the length of a cast shadow, never its direction. For a shadow to the lower left, pick Bungee Shade or Rubik Doodle Shadow, which carry their own. There is no inner shadow and no blurred one.
Where do the shadow fonts come from?
Bungee, by David Jonathan Ross, celebrates city signs that stack letters one above another: pick Top to bottom under Shape and type HOTEL. Londrina began as poster lettering from the streets of São Paulo, by Marcelo Magalhães. Ewert is a slab serif wood type.
Can I save shadow text with a transparent background?
Yes. Under More options set Background to Transparent. The PNG is cut to the lettering, shadow included, so the longest shadow is never clipped.
