This block letter font generator sets a sign, a poster line or a single letter in any of six heavy fonts. It opens on Bungee with a 3D side. Switch Look to Hollow for outlines to colour or cut out.

Hollow letters to colour or cut
Hollow draws only the edge of each letter. Under More options, Strength of the look sets the line, four times as thick at the right end as at the left, kinder to scissors. Tick Print as an outline (saves ink) to keep colour on screen and print black outlines.
Six block fonts, measured
Bungee, Bungee Shade and Rubik Mono One draw capitals only; the other three keep lower case. Bungee's O is straight-sided and its I and L carry serifs, so stacked words keep a clean edge. Rubik Mono One gives every letter one width: a line runs about twice as long as in Lilita One, the narrowest. Bungee Shade carries its own shadow, down and left, so set Look to Plain.
Tips
- Bungee was drawn for signs that stack their letters. Type one short word and set Shape to Top to bottom.
- Enter starts a new line, and Every line full width draws the shortest tallest: put what matters there.
- 3D block takes its side from the Colours set. Letter colour repaints the face only, so choose Colours first.
Questions and answers
What is a block letter, exactly?
In handwriting, block letters are separate letters with no joins, what a form means by please print. This page uses the craft-table meaning: thick letters with no thin strokes and no slant, easy to colour in, cut out or read across a car park.
Is this a block text generator I can paste from?
No. The copy-and-paste kind swaps your letters for Unicode symbols, and the result travels as text. This block font generator draws a picture: a PNG, an SVG that scales, or a printed page. For a bio, use squared letters that paste.
Can I use the letters on a shop sign or a shirt?
Yes. All six fonts are under the SIL Open Font License. Its FAQ says design work needs no extra permission and lists signage, t-shirts, laser-cut shapes and cookie cutters. That covers whatever this blocky font generator saves or prints.
