This transparent text generator draws your words with nothing behind them. The grey checks only stand for transparency and are never saved. It opens on Hollow, so the letters are see-through too.

What is in the file
The PNG's alpha channel holds partial transparency, so the fading edge of Soft glow and the shadow under Sticker blend into whatever sits behind them. A bare design is trimmed to the words plus a 24-pixel margin. With a Decoration on, the file is the whole board, 2400 by 1200 pixels, still clear. The SVG is transparent too.
Twelve plain fonts
Bebas Neue, capitals only, is the narrowest, and Archivo Black the widest: its line runs 1.7 times as long. Between them sit Poppins, round-ended Fredoka and the condensed Anton and Oswald. Alfa Slab One is a slab. Abril Fatface, Playfair Display and DM Serif Display are high-contrast serifs. Marcellus SC sets small capitals, and Work Sans comes as a hairline.
Tips
- White letters vanish on the checks: under More options set Background to Black while you design, then Transparent before saving.
- Over a photo, Outline and Sticker carry their own edge, so they stay readable on light and dark patches alike.
- Work Sans strokes are 1.6 pixels wide at size 100 and fade when shrunk. The Pen weight look thickens them.
Questions and answers
Can the letters themselves be half transparent?
No. The nearest is Hollow, which draws only the outline, so the picture behind shows through every letter. Strength of the look sets how thick that outline is. For a faded watermark, save solid letters here and lower the layer's opacity in an image editor.
Why did my transparent background turn white or black?
The file was converted on the way. JPEG does not support transparency, so an app or site that re-saves your upload as a JPEG fills the clear area with a solid colour. Keep it a PNG from the download to the final export.
Is a transparent font generator something different?
No, it is the same thing. A font has no background to remove; the transparency belongs to the picture. The phrase means lettering on a clear background or hollow letters, and this page does both. Blank characters to paste are on the invisible text generator.
