This curved text generator bends one line into an arch, a smile, a full circle or a bulge, in 10 fonts. Copy and paste cannot carry a curve as characters, so Copy picture copies a PNG with no background instead.

What Bend does to each shape
On Arch and Smile, Bend sets how much of a circle the line covers: 40 degrees at 0, 140 at 50 and 240 at 100. On Full circle it turns the ring instead: your text is centred at the top at 50 and at the bottom at 0 or 100. On Bulge it sets how much the middle letters grow.
How long a line each shape wants
A ring closes at about 22 characters of Bebas Neue or 14 of Alfa Slab One. Anything shorter is spaced out to reach round, so 'Happy birthday' loses its word gap. Short words stop bending early: 'BENT' in Bebas Neue is as curved as it gets by Bend 30. For more than one turn, use the spiral.
Tips
- Capitals sit best on a curve, and Bebas Neue and Cinzel set capitals whatever you type.
- Lobster and Pacifico join letters, and the joins pull apart on a tight arch or a ring. Keep scripts gentle.
- On Transparent the picture is cut to the lettering; any background or decoration makes it 2400 by 1200.
Questions and answers
Can I copy and paste curved text as text?
Not as characters. The app that receives the paste lays the letters out again in a straight row, because characters say nothing about position. A picture does paste: press Copy picture, then paste into a document, a slide, a chat or an email.
Is Bulge a fisheye text generator?
Close. Bulge grows the letters towards the middle: the middle one is 1.3 times the ends at Bend 0 and 2.2 times at 100. No outline is warped, so it is a fisheye from across the room and big and small type up close.
Can I put the curved text on a logo or a shirt?
Yes. All 10 fonts are under the SIL Open Font License, whose FAQ lists logos, t-shirts and rubber stamps among the allowed uses, says the graphic you make is yours, and leaves credit optional. For anything printed large, press Download SVG.
