This handwritten font generator writes your note in 12 hands, from neat print to joined cursive, and saves it as a picture. It opens on Caveat in pen blue. Press Enter for a new line, up to four.

Twelve hands, sorted
Caveat and Kalam lean forward like felt tip. Patrick Hand, Schoolbell and the thin, round Indie Flower are upright print. Shadows Into Light is tall and neat, Gochi Hand a teenager's round marker. Homemade Apple is the only joined cursive. Rock Salt and Permanent Marker write capitals only: the lowercase keys give smaller capitals. Cabin Sketch and Londrina Shadow, last under Font, are the doodle pair.
Why Caveat looks less like a font
Caveat swaps between alternate drawings of its letters, so the two l's in balloon differ, and so do the two t's in letter. Patrick Hand draws a double l as a pair. The other ten repeat one drawing per letter. On Arch and Wave each letter is placed alone, and the swaps stop.
Tips
- The Pen weight look thickens thin Indie Flower; Strength of the look in More options sets how much.
- All twelve hands draw é, ñ, ü, ö, ç, ß, ø and å.
- Over a photo, set Background to Transparent and Decoration to None: the PNG is cut to the writing, loops included.
Questions and answers
Can it turn my own handwriting into a font?
No. It writes in twelve ready-made hands and does not read a scan of your writing or build a font file. If one hand is close to yours, Letter colour under More options and the Pen weight look bring it closer.
Is this a doodle font generator too?
Yes, with two of the twelve: set Font to Cabin Sketch, whose letters are filled with scribbled pencil strokes, or Londrina Shadow, hollow letters with a hatched shadow. For a planner page, add Hearts or Stars under Decoration in More options.
Can I copy and paste the handwriting?
As a picture, yes: Copy picture puts the note on the clipboard for a chat, a slide or a document. For script letters that paste as text, use the cursive text generator.
Can I use the writing on things I sell?
Yes. Eight are under the SIL Open Font License, whose FAQ names logos, posters and t-shirts as needing no permission. Homemade Apple, Schoolbell, Rock Salt and Permanent Marker are under the Apache License 2.0, which sets no limit on selling things made with the font.
