The triangle symbol is ▲ , Black up-pointing triangle, U+25B2, and the outline is △. The 60 rows point up, down, left and right in three sizes, then add corner triangles, triangles holding a sign and four red triangle emoji.

Big, small and pointer triangles
Each direction comes in three sizes: ▲ full, ⏶ medium and ▴ small, level with lower-case letters. Left and right also have pointers, ► and ◄, which are longer and flatter. For a corner or a diagonal edge, ◢ ◣ ◤ ◥ each fill half of the character cell.
Tips
Unicode calls a filled shape black and an outline white, so △ is White up-pointing triangle.
▶ and ◀ have emoji forms, so some phones draw them as coloured buttons.

What is the Alt code for a triangle?
With Num Lock on, hold Alt and type 30 on the number pad for ▲ and 31 for ▼. The pointers ► and ◄ are Alt+16 and Alt+17. The outline △ has no Alt code, so copy it from here.
What is the HTML code for a triangle?
△ gives △ and ▴ the small ▴. ▲ has no name, so write ▲ or ▲. In LaTeX, \triangle gives △, and amssymb adds \blacktriangle for ▴.
Is △ the same as the delta symbol Δ?
No. Δ is the Greek capital letter delta, U+0394, and ∆ is the increment sign, U+2206. △ is a shape, White up-pointing triangle, U+25B3. They look alike, but a search or a screen reader treats them as different characters.
