The Easter bunny, in parts
The Easter bunny, assembled is a rabbit face, an egg and a basket: the job done in three tiles. CLDR's word egg finds four emoji, one of them a frying pan. Chocolate finds three: a bar, a cookie and a fondue. None is an egg, so Chocolate egg, in two parts goes the long way round.
Greetings, both kinds
Happy Easter lines holds fourteen. Four say Happy Easter, two are puns, and two are the Paschal greeting as Wikipedia's article words it: Christ is risen, answered by He is risen indeed. Latin cross, the only emoji CLDR files under christ, has a text form, so Text style makes it a plain character.
Tips
Egg hunt rows make Easter emoji copy and paste a game: eight tulips hide one egg. Paste a row into the group chat and wait.
Hot cross bun has no emoji, and CLDR files nothing under bun. Type it anyway and search finds Bread.
Easter emojis copy and paste into most apps. Where they are refused, Easter symbols, no emoji has โ, โ, ovals we call eggs and a hieroglyph hare.

How this list was compiled: Built by script on 2026-09-19, not typed by hand. The emoji, their names, code points and Emoji version numbers come from emoji-test.txt, version 18.0 (https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/emoji/emoji-test.txt); names are the CLDR short names printed in that file, in sentence case. The search words are from the CLDR English annotations (https://github.com/unicode-org/cldr/blob/main/common/annotations/en.xml and https://github.com/unicode-org/cldr/blob/main/common/annotationsDerived/en.xml, main branch). No emoji name holds the word Easter and CLDR lists the word for no emoji, so the first group is the rabbits: CLDR lists bunny for five emoji (rabbit face, rabbit and three of people wearing bunny ears). It lists egg for four emoji (hatching chick, nest with eggs, egg, cooking), chocolate for three (fondue, cookie, chocolate bar), basket for the basket only, lamb for the ewe only, sprinkles for the cupcake only, christ for the Latin cross only, Christian for the church and the two crosses, and search for the two magnifying glasses only. It lists nothing under hare, hop, bonnet, pastel, brunch, marshmallow, lily, daffodil, hunt or bun. The sweets, pastels and faith groups are our own choice of what an Easter message needs. The text forms come from emoji-variation-sequences.txt, version 18.0.0 (https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/ucd/emoji/emoji-variation-sequences.txt). Every character that is not an emoji was checked against UnicodeData.txt, version 18.0.0 (https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/ucd/UnicodeData.txt), and a note that names a character uses its name from that file. UnicodeData.txt has no character with the word Easter in its name (fourteen names hold Eastern, which is a compass point), two with rabbit (the two emoji) and two with egg (the emoji and Shavian letter egg). The glosses chicken egg on Egg, daisy on Blossom and fourth of the signs of the Asian zodiac on Rabbit, and the Unicode name Dove of peace, come from NamesList.txt, version 18.0.0 (https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/ucd/NamesList.txt). The hare is U+130F9. Hieroglyph descriptions come from the kEH_Desc field of Unikemet.txt, version 18.0.0 (https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/ucd/Unikemet.txt). The meanings of the two Han characters are the kDefinition values of the Unihan database, version 18.0.0 (https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/ucd/Unihan.zip). The wording of the Paschal greeting (Christ is risen, answered by He is risen indeed) was read in Wikipedia's Paschal greeting article on 2026-09-19 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paschal_greeting); the article prints both with exclamation marks, which this site leaves off. The 14 lines, 5 egg hunt rows, 4 ASCII drawings and 10 combos are this site's own work: the emoji in them are fetched by name from emoji-test.txt and the drawings were made for this page.
