Two goats on one page
The animal gets Ram and Ewe, three Linear B goats, three hieroglyphs and the Han character ηΎ; the abbreviation gets a trophy, a crown, two medals and GOAT in bold capitals and filled squares. Search serves both: baa finds Ewe alone, and versus finds VS button and The GOAT debate.
What travels
None of the 14 single emoji is newer than Emoji 3.0. Inside the combos three are: the troll, 14.0, and the firecracker and red envelope, both 11.0, the likeliest to land as empty boxes on an older phone. Both ASCII goats go wherever plain text goes, while the Linear B signs and hieroglyphs need a font that has them.

What does the goat emoji mean?
The animal, and GOAT: Wikipedia records the letters as short for greatest of all time and says athletes so named are often associated with the animal on social media. CLDR files no emoji under greatest, but this page's search finds eight tiles for it.
Is being called a goat good or bad?
It depends on the capitals. Wikipedia calls the all caps spelling important, because a lowercase goat in sport was an athlete who failed at the worst possible time. An emoji has no capitals, so its company decides: a crown or a trophy settles it.
Which emoji is the goat: Goat, Ram or Ewe?
Goat, U+1F410. Ram and Ewe are sheep: CLDR files Ram under male, sheep and horns, Ewe under female, baa and wool, and only Goat and Capricorn under goat. Just three Unicode character names contain goat: this emoji and two Linear B ideograms.
