The subject filters do the sorting: 8 Birds, 4 Dinosaurs, 4 Rats, mice, hedgehogs, 7 Monkeys, elephants, wild animals, 5 Snakes, frogs, crocodiles, 3 Farm animals, 4 Bugs and snails. Dinosaur text art means T. rex, a long neck, Stegosaurus and one still in its egg; monkey text art is a face and a monkey sitting down. Search reads extra words: brontosaurus finds the long neck, robin the small bird.
Getting it there in one piece
Anything taller than one line wants a monospaced font and its spaces kept, and 27 of the 35 pieces contain a backslash, which Markdown can eat: the cat ASCII art page explains all three. Squash-proof keeps 8: the 5 one-liners, an owl, a frog and a pig face.
Tips
The parrot's bubble holds 11 characters: type over HELLO HELLO after pasting and leave the right-hand bar alone.
Rat ascii art comes three ways: Rat on one line, Rat, side view, and Mouse and a cheese.
Bird ascii art runs from Birds on a wire, one line to the 13-line Flamingo on one leg.
Yes. Snake on one line is five humps of _/\_ and a head: paste in more humps. Caterpillar on one line takes more capital O's, Rat on one line more tildes. Giraffe's neck is a plain line and a patched one repeated: copy the pair.
What is the biggest animal here?
Giraffe, at 15 lines by 18 columns, which seems fair. Flamingo on one leg is 13 lines, and Elephant face and the two big dinosaurs are 10 each. Those five alone miss the Fits a comment box badge: 8 lines and 30 columns at most.

How this list was compiled: Every piece was drawn for this page and checked in a monospaced font on 2026-09-19; none is copied from an archive or another site. This is the page for every animal that does not have a page of its own, so it starts with the ones people ask for by name (rats, monkeys, dinosaurs, birds, owls, elephants) and goes on through frogs, snakes, farm animals and bugs. Cats, dogs, rabbits, fish, horses and dragons have their own pages, and bears are on the cute page. Each character was looked up in the Unicode Character Database, version 18.0.0: names and categories in https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/ucd/UnicodeData.txt, width classes in https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/ucd/EastAsianWidth.txt, the Emoji property in https://www.unicode.org/Public/18.0.0/ucd/emoji/emoji-data.txt, all read on 2026-09-19. Keyboard characters only means the 95 printable ASCII characters, U+0020 to U+007E. Squash-proof means no line starts with a space and no two spaces touch. The comment box badge means at most 8 lines and 30 columns: a rule of thumb of this site, not a promise about any app. Licence: own work
