Happy Birthday in different fonts: 24 typefaces, every row labelled with its font's name. Type a name or an age after the greeting and all 24 rows redraw. Page one holds the happy birthday calligraphy fonts, page three the cartoon capitals.

The double p and the y
Only Pinyon Script and Pacifico run one stroke through the double p. Italianno sweeps each p's tail back under the letter before it; the other seven scripts lift the pen. Kaushan Script and Oleo Script join none of these letters. The y drops furthest in Italianno, about six tenths of the capital's height. Bangers, Luckiest Guy and Cinzel Decorative have capitals only.
Copying one onto a card
As happy birthday card fonts to copy by hand, Pacifico and Yellowtail are the easy ones: the stroke stays near one weight, so a round marker does it. Kaushan Script, Lobster and Oleo Script swell to about three times their thin stroke: brush pen work. The calligraphy hairlines are near a fiftieth of the capital's height.
Tips
- Stacked and centred, Happy is about three quarters as wide as Birthday, and its y sits over the a in 23 of the 24 faces.
- Next style changes every row's look. Hollow leaves letters to colour in; Londrina Shadow is an outline already and stays as drawn.
- Rows are fitted to the page, so wide Chango prints its capitals a little over half as tall as narrow Bangers.

What is a good font style for happy birthday?
For a formal card, page one: Great Vibes, Alex Brush, or Cinzel Decorative, whose capital H hooks below the line. For a child's party, Bangers and Luckiest Guy on page three, or the balloon shapes of Bagel Fat One and Modak on page four.
How do I add a name or an age?
Type it after the greeting: Happy Birthday Mom, Happy 18th Birthday. A row holds up to 40 characters, and Try a line under the box has some ready. A longer line prints smaller, because every row is fitted to the page's width.
How do I print Happy Birthday big, in one font?
Open More options and set Kind of sheet to Banner pages. Happy prints on one page and Birthday on the next. Choose the face in the Font menu, or press Next style to step through all 24.
Can I copy and paste Happy Birthday in a fancy font?
Not from this page: every row is a picture. Text that pastes is built from Unicode letters, which come in script and bold script among other styles. Some apps strip or block these characters, and screen readers may read them badly.
