The capital is the name
Monsieur La Doulaise gives the A half of Angel's width, and its n and e stand under a fifth as tall. Meddon joins 22 of its 26 capitals to the next letter; Mrs Saint Delafield and Monsieur La Doulaise join almost none. Mr Dafoe, Herr Von Muellerhoff, Homemade Apple and Engagement draw the capital A as a large small a, so Angel can read as angel.
Faces with no small letters
Cinzel and the six faces on page four draw small letters mostly as small capitals, so the l in Angel stands no taller than the n. In Bebas Neue and Bungee Shade Angel and ANGEL print the same. Small letters reach seven eighths of the capital in Graduate, about two thirds in Rock Salt.
Tips
- UnifrakturMaguntia draws the old fraktur A, which reads as a U today. For a name starting with A, Pirata One and Grenze Gotisch are safer.

How do I see Ashley in different fonts, or my own name?
Tap Ashley under the box, or type any name over the sample, and all 24 rows redraw. Emma, Faith, Happy, Lover, Mom, Blessed and Welcome are there too. Each prints at full row height in every face.
Which is a fancy thank you font?
Monsieur La Doulaise, where the T takes over half the width of Thank you, or Mrs Saint Delafield, where it takes a third. Thank you in different fonts fills 23 rows at full height; Bungee Shade shrinks it to fit.
Which fonts suit a long name?
The narrow ones: Christopher prints nearly three times as wide in Bungee Shade as in Herr Von Muellerhoff. Most names up to seven letters print full height everywhere. From eight, Bungee Shade and Monoton shrink first; at eleven, Graduate, Cinzel and Courier Prime too.
Can I print Welcome as a sign?
Tap Welcome, then set Kind of sheet to Banner pages, under More options. The word fills one page in one face, and the Font menu picks which. Thank you takes two pages, a word on each.
Can I copy and paste a name in a fancy font?
Not from here: each row is a drawing. Letters that paste come from Unicode, which has script, fraktur and monospace alphabets. Some apps strip or block these characters, and screen readers may read them badly.
