Start with a thin A
The letter A in bubble letters is a tent with a window. Pencil two leaning lines and a crossbar, set lower than you normally would. The outline closes in on the triangle from three sides, so a high bar leaves a speck. Plant the feet wide, or the arch between them fills in.
Six fonts to copy from
Mochiy Pop One opens the sheet because its triangle stays clear. Chango is the wide one, far wider than tall. Bagel Fat One keeps a small triangle and Chewy, the narrow one, a slit. Tips
- Alpaca has one capital A and two small ones. In Mochiy Pop One all three keep their holes.
- A window too small to colour around can be filled solid black. It still reads as the hole.
- Bubblegum Sans lets the crossbar poke out past the left leg. Copy that for an A with some character.

How do you draw a lowercase a in bubble letters?
Use the handwriting a, a circle with a stick on its right, with a ring inside for the eye. The printed a, a loop under an arc, has a hole too small to survive fattening. Only Mochiy Pop One here draws the handwriting form.
How to write A in bubble letters without a pencil sketch?
Go round the outside in one line: up the left leg, over a rounded top, down the right leg, then around each foot with a small arch between them. Add the triangle last, a little above where the crossbar would sit.
Which setting prints one big A to colour in?
