D in bubble letters is a stem with one big bow and two corners at the back. Round those off, let the hole close, and it reads as O. These six still read as D, the most open hole first.

From open hole to sliver
Mochiy Pop One opens the set: a tall hole shaped like the letter, a flick on its top corner. Bubblegum Sans keeps an open hole under a small flag. Bagel Fat One pinches its back and keeps a tiny D inside. Chewy leans, its hole a dark wedge. Chango is wider than tall, its hole a half moon. Lilita One stands straight-backed with a sliver.
Small d is an o with a stick
The stick goes up the right side, and small d stands as tall as the capital or taller. Its hole is far smaller than the capital's, so it closes sooner: only Mochiy Pop One shows a ring. Type Dodo in Your letters or words: d stands between two o's.
Tips
- Keep the two back corners nearly square. They are the only corners D has, and they tell it from O.
- In Daddy, Mochiy Pop One draws a and d alike: a ball with a stick, short or tall.
- Bagel Fat One's Dodo has three dashes lying flat for the holes of o, d and o.

How do you draw the letter D in bubble letters?
Pencil a stem and a bow from top to foot. Outline it: straight down the back, a corner at each end, one smooth curve for the bow. Add a smaller D inside, a generous one: as a rule only O and Q have bigger holes.
How do you draw a lowercase d in bubble letters?
Pencil a small circle, then a stem up its right side that rises about half the circle's height above it. Go round ball and stem in one line, with a dent where they part at the top. Leave a small oval inside the ball.
How do I tell b from d?
Read left to right. In d the ball comes first and the stick after it; in b the stick comes first. Page 3 of the set prints capital D beside small d: the bow of D faces right, the ball of d faces left.
