How it works
A C in bubble letters is a ring with a mouth, and the mouth is the whole letter. Fattening grows the two tips until they touch, and an O is left. These six fonts keep it open.

Six fonts, six mouths
Baloo 2 opens the set: its mouth stays open in capital and small alike. Bubblegum Sans is as open, and its top tip flicks up like a flag. Chango is a touch wider than tall, its mouth a square notch in a thick back. Titan One and Lilita One keep the capital open and shrink small c's mouth to a nick. Fredoka draws the roundest capital, but its small c pinches shut.
Small c closes first
Small c is the capital's shape at about three quarters of the height, with a stroke nearly as thick, so its mouth is narrower. Open More options and slide Strength of the look down: Fredoka's tips part and Lilita One's nick widens. Outline, under Look, opens all six.
Tips
- In Coconut every c keeps a wedge, while five fonts squeeze the o's to dots or lines.
- Stop the pencil C early, at two o'clock and four o'clock. The fat tips will grow towards each other.
- All six fonts draw C narrower than O. Start from an oval, not a circle.
Questions and answers
How do you draw the letter C in bubble letters?
Pencil a thin C that stops well short of closing. Draw one rounded outline around it: along the outside, round the top tip, back along the inside, round the bottom tip. Rub out the pencil. There is no hole to add.
How do you draw a lowercase c in bubble letters?
Exactly as the capital, only shorter: c is one of the few letters whose small form is the same shape. Keep the mouth as wide as the capital's, or the tips meet and you have drawn an o.
How do I tell a bubble letter C from an O?
By the mouth alone. Once the two tips touch, the outline is a closed ring and reads as O. If yours has closed, rub a slice out of the right side, at least as wide as the stroke, and round off both cut ends.
How do I print a big bubble letter C to cut out?
Open More options and set Kind of sheet to Banner pages: capital C fills one sheet and small c the next. A C has no hole inside, so scissors do the whole job. Cut into the mouth from the right.
