Six faces, from curled to carved
Princess Sofia ends its strokes in curls and winds its P into a spiral. Cinzel Decorative has capitals only: a capital key types the letter with a swash, a small key the plain one. Tangerine and Parisienne are thin scripts, so give them Sticker or Soft glow. Almendra and Bubblegum Sans are thick enough to carry Candy stripes.
Invitation, door sign or sticker
On Blush pink or White, Print keeps the colours. On Night blue it prints a black outline to save ink unless you untick Print as an outline. The PNG is 2400 by 1200 pixels. For a sticker or a cake topper, choose Transparent and Decoration None: the file is then cut to the letters.
Tips
- Turning 1 or 10? Cinzel Decorative and Almendra draw 1 as a short I. The other four do not.
- Tangerine's small letters are under two fifths of its capitals' height, so keep it to a short name.
- All six faces have é, ï, ñ and ü. Tangerine and Almendra lack š and ž.
Questions and answers
Is this the font from a princess film or a doll box?
No. None of the six imitates a film title or a toy logo, and none is named after one. They are open-licence typefaces that suit a royal invitation: a curly hand, swashed Roman capitals, two thin scripts, a storybook calligraphy and a round sans.
Can I add a crown or a tiara?
Not in the picture. Decoration holds sparkles, hearts and stars, and no crown. Save on Transparent and add one in your own editor. For a caption, the crown symbols page has a crown character to paste.
Can I copy and paste a princess font?
Not the font: pasted text leaves its font behind, and the app that receives it picks another. So this page draws a picture, and the curls arrive as you saw them. For curly letters that paste into a bio, use the cursive text generator.
Can I sell invitations made with these fonts?
Yes. All six are under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Its FAQ says you stay the author of a graphic made with such a font, no extra permission is needed and credit is optional. Only the font files cannot be sold by themselves.
