How it works
W in bubble letters has three notches to keep: two from the top, one from the bottom. Its name says two U's, its shape two V's. Of these six fonts, two build it from V's and four from U's.

Two V's or two U's
Fredoka and Lilita One draw two V's with straight sides. Fredoka opens the set because its notches stay widest. Chewy rounds the bottoms into U's and is the only W here taller than wide. Baloo 2 stops its middle peak short of the top. Chango is nearly twice as wide as tall. DynaPuff, the puffiest, has the shallowest notches.
Keep the middle peak tall
The middle peak is what separates W from a fat U. The look fills the notch on each side of it, deepest part first. Outline, under Look, cuts both deeper in all six. So does sliding Strength of the look down, in More options.
Tips
- Wow puts capital W and small w either side of an o: the same shape at two heights.
- For a Welcome banner, pick Banner pages under Kind of sheet in More options: one letter a sheet, seven sheets.
- Chango draws the left arm twice as thick as the right. Try it by hand for a heavier, poster-style W.
Questions and answers
How do you draw a bubble letter W?
Pencil two thin V's side by side, sharing the middle peak. Trace one outline around all four strokes: round the two feet and the three tops, and bring each of the three notches to a point. Rub out the pencil, then colour it in.
How do you draw a lowercase w in bubble letters?
Draw the capital again at about three quarters of the height. In all six fonts here small w is the same shape as W, only shorter and wider for its height, so its notches are shallower. Pencil them deep before you outline.
Is W an upside-down M?
No. In Fredoka, M stands on two upright legs and its middle V dips only halfway. W leans all four strokes and its middle peak climbs to full height. Flip a W and the legs splay, so draw each letter on its own.
