How it works
In bubble letters M is a block with three notches: the valley on top and a gap each side of the middle. Fattening fills a notch from its point. In these six fonts all three still show.

Pointed or arched
Fredoka opens the sheet: a pointed M whose valley reaches the middle. Bubblegum Sans adds a flick at each top corner. Chango is the wide one, far wider than tall. Lilita One stands upright and heavy, its notches short. Mochiy Pop One is arched, its valley as thin as a pen line. Chewy, arched too, is the narrowest.
Small m needs width
Small m is two arches on three legs, and fattening shuts the two gaps between the legs first. Give it width: Chango's small m is more than twice as wide as tall.
Tips
- Mammoth has three m's. Chango stretches it across the whole row; Chewy fits it in two thirds.
- By hand, the arched M is easier: two humps, like a small m grown tall. Chewy shows the shape.
- Gaps of small m only lines? In More options, lower Strength of the look. All but Lilita One's open.
Questions and answers
How do you draw the letter M in bubble letters?
Pencil two upright posts with a V between them that dips to the middle. Draw one outline around the whole shape, the same distance from the pencil all the way, and keep all three notches pointed. Then rub out the pencil.
How do you draw a lowercase m in bubble letters?
Pencil three short legs joined by two arches. Set the legs wider apart than looks right, because each gap loses an outline's width from both sides. A small flag at the top left, as Lilita One draws, is optional.
Is a bubble letter W an M turned upside down?
Not quite. The outer legs of M stand upright and its valley stops well above the floor. The arms of W lean outward, so a W narrows towards its foot. Of these six fonts only Chewy draws the two as near mirror images.
How do I print big bubble letters M and m?
